Whatever lacked on the – way too late – first show, Madonna made up for it on the second. It rocked!
She was pretty much on time (her time, that is), arriving around 22.20. The crowd was still awake and on fire from the start. And stayed with her till the end.
Which proves, the problem is her being late. Once people are fed up and overly tired, no show can get them going anymore.
She did the 80s medley of Dress you up, Into the groove and Lucky star, and we got Take a bow this night.
And we even got an acapella snippet of Hanky Panky, one of my favorite songs.
She has such an impressive body of work and can draw on so many songs from three decades, she could make a totally different show every night…
All in all, a great show, and I am happy.
After the first night in Brisbane I was seriously worried, that if this lateness and lack of enthusiasm of the crowd continued, my memories of the Rebel Heart Tour would be seriously tarnished.
Here are some of the best pics. This time, all batteries fully charged.
